NYX Cares / Hurricane Sandy Employee Relief Fund
How you can assist fellow employees in need.
Many NYSE Euronext employees have been personally and significantly affected by the devastating impact of Hurricane Sandy in the greater New York City area. Numerous employees have asked how they can make a contribution to help fellow employees who have been harmed by Hurricane Sandy.
To that end, we have established the NYSE Euronext Hurricane Sandy Employee Relief Fund (“NYX Cares” or the “Fund”) to provide assistance directly to employees whose homes and property have been damaged by the storm.
NYX Cares will provide emergency cash assistance to affected employees to reimburse or pay reasonable and necessary expenses for the repair or rehabilitation of a primary residence; repair or replacement of its contents; and/or personal, family, living or funeral expenses directly attributable to the impact of Hurricane Sandy. NYX Cares will not pay or reimburse expenses that are covered by insurance.
You may contribute to NYX Cares by making a credit card payment or writing a check directly to Fund. Please note that contributions to NYX Cares are not tax deductible as a charitable contribution.
Through a dollar-for-dollar corporate match, NYSE Euronext is committing up to $50,000 to Hurricane Sandy relief for NYSE Euronext employees.
Thank you for your contribution to NYX Cares and for your concern for our fellow employees in need.
Employees who are in need of assistance may apply to NYX Cares using this application form. Requests for assistance will be reviewed, and payments arranged by, a small committee of internal staff in a discreet and confidential manner.
Employees who need other types of assistance, such as an emergency loan, please contact Lyuba Golberg at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 212-656-4550 or 347-933-3256.
